If we look at volunteering from a different perspective we can truly see the benefits that it can offer to our lives!

During our busy life styles it is often difficult to find time to socialize with friends. Especially when we’re on autopilot, running at one-hundred miles per hours, we may often even feel guilty to set aside potentially productive hours for a little bit of fun. Join volunteer groups and meet new people which can potentially become your life-long friends! On the other hand, volunteering is also a great way to catch up and keep in touch with your old friends! You don’t have to grow apart after Ukrainian School. Plan reuniting with your buddies while giving back to the community! It’s a great way to keep in touch with your Ukrainian roots.

The Ukrainian Community is rich with talent and intellectual individuals! Break out of your normal circle to join a volunteer group, and you are likely to find yourself networking with these individuals pretty quickly. Ukrainians take pride in helping other Ukrainians, so use our community’s talent to your advantage!

Volunteering is a great thing to have on your resume! If you’re early on in your career – it’s a definite way how you can get over the infinite loop of “need experience to get a job – need a job to get experience”. Get your experience by practicing the skills while volunteering at a Ukrainian Organization. You are also likely to have some great mentors along the way!
